we can enjoy visiting an exhibition where art works are the final pieces of the project brought into being by the artist. So, we can only see the last step of a working and everyday life that is the indispensable diligence and commitment for creating an artwork from an opening fleeting intuition.

THE JOURNEY will be a virtual container for any experience the artists live beyond the artwork eventually made. It will be in the form of a free online fanzine and a print one, to show anything the artist would like to share that has happened during the creating period time: unsuccessful pieces, special meetings, unexpected changes of the project, incidents and peculiar moments occurring whilst the making of the artwork, new unions or separations, etcetera… All unpredictable events, personal ones and deflections "behind the scenes" connected to the art process and can’t end up in an exhibitions or be revealed by the curators and so on.

THE JOURNEY fanzine features selected artists from around the globe with the focus on the untold events as explained above. The open call is free of charge and the issue will be spread for free online, the selected artists only will receive the printed issue for free.

HOW TO APPLY:

- Send a few of files to contact@enzocomin.com

- Texts in Italian or English languages only.

- Write your name, city and a link to your portfolio or website.

NOTES:


- If you have spontaneous proposals to an active collaboration for the making of THE JOURNEY, we’ll be happy to hear by you.


- Edition: the next issues will be prepared through new open calls.
 Because of the devoted theme of THE JOURNEY, feel free to send your proposals anytime.

- THE JOURNEY is 100% curated editorial content. The contents will be selected. No commercial ads are taken into consideration, at the moment.

- Selected artists get featured in the fanzine with a fair space, in both print and digital versions.


- THE JOURNEY will be spread as best we can. The digital issues could to be spread and shown as you wish.


- All selected artists will be promoted on our website and social networking site.


- THE JOURNEY printed magazine is available for purchase via this website.



- THE JOURNEY is proposed as an artistic project and not as a business activity.

ELIGIBILITY:


- Artists are welcome to submit their proposals, from all countries. All proposals are welcome.


NOTIFICATION:

- Notification will be made via email. Only selected artists who provide a working email address will be notified via email.


- The official website will be updated.

BY SUBMITTING YOUR WORK YOU AGREE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS: By participating in this open call, you give us your permission to share your work on sites and social networks connected to THE JOURNEY project and Enzo Comin as curator, as well as a digital or print publication. Also in special cases for promotional material related to the project in which you are involved, such as flyers, posters, postcards, projections and also for public relations, such as newspapers, printed magazines, events, exhibitions and presentations. In no case your images will be sold without your permission and authorization.

You must be the author of the sent files or of the work depicted in the file.

The publication includes a selection of the images sent. The space available is limited.

Universalmente….

nel visitare una mostra ammiriamo opere d'arte che sono, però, i tasselli finali del progetto realizzato dall'artista. Così, possiamo vedere solo l'ultimo passaggio di un lavoro e di una vita quotidiana che sono la diligenza e l'impegno indispensabili per creare un'opera d'arte partendo da una fugace intuizione iniziale.

THE JOURNEY sarà un contenitore virtuale per ogni esperienza vissuta dagli artisti al di là dell'opera d'arte alla fine eventualmente realizzata. Sarà nella forma di una fanzine online gratuita e di una versione stampata, per mostrare tutto ciò che l'artista ha il piacere di condividere, accaduto durante il periodo della lavorazione dell’opera: pezzi sbagliati o scartati, incontri speciali, cambiamenti inaspettati del progetto, incidenti e momenti particolari che si verificano durante la realizzazione dell'opera d'arte, nuove unioni o separazioni, eccetera... Tutti gli eventi imprevedibili, personali e le deviazioni "dietro le quinte" connesse al processo artistico che non possono finire in una mostra o essere rivelate dai curatori e così via.

La fanzine THE JOURNEY presenta artisti selezionati da tutto il mondo con l'accento sugli eventi non raccontati come spiegato. La partecipazione all’open call è gratuita e la fanzine sarà diffusa gratuitamente online, solo gli artisti selezionati riceveranno gratuitamente la pubblicazione cartacea.

COME PARTECIPARE:

- Invia file a contact@enzocomin.com

- Testi solo in lingua italiana o inglese.

- Assicurati che sia riportato nella e-mail il tuo nome, la città e un link al tuo portfolio o sito web.

NOTE:

- Se hai proposte spontanee per una collaborazione attiva per la realizzazione di THE JOURNEY, saremo felici di ascoltarti.

- Le edizioni saranno preparate attraverso nuove open call. A causa del tema dedicato di THE JOURNEY, sentiti libero di inviare le tue proposte in qualsiasi momento.

- THE JOURNEY è un contenuto editoriale curato al 100%. I contenuti verranno selezionati. Nessun annuncio commerciale viene preso in considerazione, al momento.

- Gli artisti selezionati vengono presentati nella fanzine in spazi equi, sia in versione cartacea che digitale.

- THE JOURNEY sarà diffuso nel miglior modo possibile. Le edizioni digitali possono essere diffuse e mostrate a piacimento.

- Tutti gli artisti selezionati saranno promossi sul nostro sito web e social.

- La fanzine stampata THE JOURNEY è disponibile per l'acquisto tramite questo sito.

-  THE JOURNEY si propone come un progetto artistico e non come un’attività commerciale.

ELEGGIBILITÀ:

- Gli artisti sono invitati a presentare le loro proposte, dall’Italia e dall’estero. Tutte le proposte sono benvenute.

NOTIFICA:

- La notifica verrà effettuata tramite e-mail. Solo gli artisti selezionati che forniscono un indirizzo e-mail funzionante riceveranno una notifica via e-mail.

- Il sito ufficiale verrà aggiornato.

INVIANDO IL TUO LAVORO ACCETTI DI AVER LETTO E COMPRESO I NOSTRI TERMINI E CONDIZIONI: Partecipando a questa open call, ci dài il tuo permesso a condividere il tuo lavoro sui siti e social connessi al progetto THE JOURNEY e di Enzo Comin in veste di curatore, così come una pubblicazione digitale o cartacea (sempre concedendo i crediti corrispondenti). Anche in casi speciali per materiale promozionale legato al progetto per cui è coinvolto, come ad esempio volantini, manifesti, cartoline, proiezioni e anche per pubbliche relazioni, come giornali, riviste cartacee, eventi, mostre e presentazioni. In nessun caso verranno vendute le tue immagini senza il tuo previo consenso ed espressa autorizzazione.

Devi essere l’autore del file inviato o dell’opera raffigurata nel file.

La pubblicazione prevede una selezione delle immagini inviate. Lo spazio a disposizione è limitato.
